Tommy Lasorda's "A Bit of Blue Heaven"

"The Beginning"

This is the pilot piece of "The Last Walk Off" which started "The Lasorda Series." I soon realized the concept should evolve to pay tribute to more of the LEGENDS.

My first piece had originally had Tommy going in alone to Heaven/Cornfield. Then, it made sense that someone has been where he is going before? Those would be "The Gentlemen": Jackie Robinson,  Don Drysdale, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Walter Alston and Duke Snider to be the escorts into Heaven/Cornfield.

"A Bit of Blue Heaven" was originated January 7, 2021 as Tommy passed that day and I was watching "The Field of Dreams."

I hope you enjoy this version of LA and the Guys in the sky.
